Start the "national six" standard implementation of the first shot, Shenzhen fear of collapse

On November 1st, the Sixth National Emission Standard, which has been called "the most stringent in history" by the industry, was formally implemented in Shenzhen. For the automotive industry, this is an important day, Shenzhen has become the first city to implement the Sixth National Emission Standard.

From the implementation of the Sixth National Standard for Light Diesel Vehicles on July 1 this year to the real landing today, Shenzhen has been affecting the nerves of the whole industry on the way to implement the Sixth National Emission Regulation in advance.

As the first city to launch the Sixth National Emission Standard, what impact will the Shenzhen Model bring to the industry? How will truck drivers react? What challenges will vehicle manufacturers, engine enterprises and related post processing enterprises bring? Is the implementation of the national six standard in advance in Shenzhen a guiding significance for other cities?

Take the lead in implementing pressure and do not implement it in advance.

On October 16, Shenzhen Habitat Committee and Shenzhen Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Bureau jointly issued the Notice on the Implementation of the Sixth Stage National Motor Vehicle Air Pollutant Emission Standards for Light Vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the Notice).

"Notice" clearly points out that from November 1, 2018 (including), light-duty compression ignition engine vehicles registered in Shenzhen City, registered in the change registration of foreign entries and transferred registration shall meet the Sixth National Standard; from December 31, 2018 (including), registration in Shenzhen City, registration of changes in foreign entries and transfer registration shall be light. The type of spark ignition engine should conform to the six national standard.

It is noteworthy that the Notice also mentions that the "Sixth National Standard" refers to the sixth stage emission control requirements in the "Limits and Measurement Methods for Pollutant Emission from Light Vehicles (Sixth Stage of China)" (GB18352.6-2016), in which the type I test should meet the 6B limit requirements. This means that Shenzhen will skip the 6a and directly implement the 6B standard for light vehicles (the 6a and 6B emission limits were implemented on July 1, 2020 and July 1, 2023 respectively), which is five years ahead of the time set by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
